Wood – Study, Research, Apply

As a centre of excellence for teaching and research, we believe it is important that our range of courses should meet the needs of the wood industry.

Theoretical and practical work are closely intertwined in our study programmes: field trips, semester assignments and project work carried out in collaboration with companies in the wood industry as well as the research and development field enable students to tap into existing know-how and glimpse the future of the wood industry. We are also doing our bit to help the industry meet future challenges, offering training in digitisation, BIM, Industry 4.0 and Internet of Things (IoT).

The Wood Division is part of the Architecture, Wood and Civil Engineering Department of the Bern University of Applied Sciences (BFH), to which the Higher Technical School of Wood Biel is affiliated.
