Jörg Schleusener, born in 1934, Dipl.-Ing. (FH) and Professor for Manufacturing Technology, taught at the University of Applied Sciences, Swiss School of Engineering for the Wood Industry Biel, Switzerland for 15 years, till 1999.
He lectured the following subjects: Machinery elements, conveyor facilities, wood processing machines, wood surface treatment, logistics, coating facilities, pre- and final assembly, facility planning.
Previously he was Operations and Executive Manager and later a Managing Director in the sector of kitchen and bedroom furniture for about 30 years.
From 1997 to 2001 he lectured at the University of British Columbia (UBC) in Vancouver, Canada in the area of wood surface treatment.
Moreover he was a private consultant in USA, Canada, Finland and an EU-consultant in Egypt and Bosnia.
He is the author of numerous publications in various trade journals and the publisher of the dictionary “Oberflächen-Lexikon” in German and the Wood Surface Treatment and Environment Dictionary in English.
Furthermore he was the founder and chairman of the “Bieler Oberflächentage” and the organizer and director of various “Finishing Events” in USA and Canada, and the manager of the International Wood-Surface Seminar in Rosenheim. |
