The research unit Materials and Wood Technology deals with the following areas: wood quality; wood chemistry; surface treatment technologies; adhesives for wood; bonding and fastening technologies for wood. The unit participates in research and development projects at the national and international levels. Most projects are run in collaboration with our partners in industry.
Our contract services for industry include testing, expert reports and consultancy. Our services range from testing for certification and compliance with standards right through to the development and optimisation of new materials, technologies and processes. Our specialists are also available for export reports and consultancy. Export reports are of course handled with the utmost confidentiality.
