We develop processes and procedures for guaranteeing the long-term quality of soil and water. We produce legislation, standards and guidelines designed to protect these natural resources from mechanical damage and pollution. We develop cleaning systems, too. Our mission is to protect people, natural resources and the environment. We develop methods for monitoring the effectiveness of protective measures and for assessing potential hazards.
We research and test geo-engineering constructions and components including soil retaining structures, pre-stressed and unstressed anchoring, pile foundations and raft pile foundations. Our top research priorities include optimising the usability and costs of existing applications.
