We develop and provide the tools and skills needed to enhance the efficiency and efficacy of building performance management. Major issues in building performance management are the ability to manage complex systems, dynamic process management and process simulation.
Holistic building performance management covers a wide range of topics including economic and functional efficiency, energy and resource efficiency and durability. Building performance management is a constant, ongoing process which takes place throughout the entire life cycle of a building. Building performance is therefore seen as a dynamic system. The specific research unit "Architectural Processes" adopts a multidisciplinary approach to knowledge and technology transfer. The unit operates at the interface between the world of education, training and research and the world of business and industry.
